We\u2019ve all met this person. They have no regrets. They\u2019re never wrong. They never say they\u2019re sorry. It\u2019s somehow always the other person\u2019s fault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether this person realizes it or not, they think and live as if the world is their oyster and whatever pearl is to be had is owed them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Usually, this person has been hurt at some point in their life. Sometimes terribly. Often at the hands of someone that they loved and trusted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And while they can be sensitive to the suffering of others, their suffering, their experience is always the worst. They have this wound that they just can\u2019t forget. They\u2019ve had something taken from them, and they\u2019re going to get it back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, they can never get it back. It doesn\u2019t work that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, we all try. Don\u2019t we? We try until we\u2019re the cause of other people\u2019s hurts and wounds and their self-centered thinking: \u201cThe world owes me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Forgiveness is the only way to stop this cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Forgiveness is the only way to bring the suffering to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Forgiveness is the only way to get back what was lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
