Augustus walked this way. And well, I might say the rest is history, but it’s not. History is not a current that can be stopped or diverted. It flows over and through people groups, shaping lives, events and nations. It is not captured in a monument. It cannot be toppled, erased or undone—certainly not by anyone who wears a watch.
